To strengthen our dynamic Department of Continuing Education, we are looking for an experienced and committed colleague as Project Manager (80%).

To strengthen our dynamic Department of Continuing Education, we are looking for an experienced and committed colleague as

Project Manager (80%)

Place of work: Brig (part-time home-office negotiable)

Start date: 1.8.2024, currently temporary until 31.1.2024; but the position is very likely to become permanent.

In order to offer our alumni and graduates from other institutions ever more attractive opportunities to face new challenges and meet the needs of our constantly changing society, we develop cutting-edge continuing education programs in French, German and English. Whether specific or interdisciplinary, our courses are available in short formats or as certified continuing education programs (Certificates of Advanced Studies). We aim at offering swiftly targeted answers to new (and old) questions that can be effectively implemented in a professional environment.

Your tasks

  • Developing our portfolio of continuing education courses in our areas of expertise (psychology, economics, law, mathematics and computer science, history) together with our faculties, researchers, senior management and other services, and prepare for their implementation.
  • Carrying out market surveys and identifying opportunities for innovative and competitive continuing education programs.
  • Developing and maintaining all relevant documentation required for project management and for reporting to the Department of Continuing Education as well as to senior management.
  • Drawing up budgets and forecasts.
  • Keeping an active watch on the continuing education market in Switzerland and internationally.
  • Contributing to the development of the Department of Continuing Education and its reputation, as well as representing the institution in national and international networks (e.g., seminars, colloquia, etc.).

Your profile

  • Master's degree (university, HES) or equivalent academic title; doctorate is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, combined with marketing and communication acumen.
  • Proven professional experience in the higher education sector.
  • Customer service orientation, excellent social and interpersonal competences, and good negotiation skills.
  • Team oriented and collegial mindset.
  • Organized, analytical, curious and creative profile, able to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Mother tongue German or French with excellent knowledge of the other language, very good knowledge of spoken and written English.
